MD210602ce Salvation by Simon Bradley. I have many versions of Salvation which are all good and all different. This one was recorded on Friday night. Many thanks to the Groovemongers who recorded it and to Lauralyn for introducing it to us.

The_Gale This will become a carp camp standard tune written by Susan Conger. It is a fun tune to play. She needs to come and visit the camp some year.
MD170202ce Poetry Of Her Sole. Again this is Dan and Robin Kessinger.
MD210502ce Robertson's Reel... Hear the Fyhrie dulcimer ring out at the beginning of this one. Jim makes some mighty fine dulcimers.
MD231302ce Bonaparte Crossing Something. This is a really nice slow version Dave likes to play. I believe the "Something" should be "Rhine"
MD041502ce It's Not the Size... A young man learns a lesson of life from his dear old sainted mother.
MD280302ace Caliche Creek... by Jim Mulhaney was played by Tina Gugeler dulcimer, Dan Kessinger fiddle, Dean Lippincott, percussion. The Groovemongers have a wonderful CD call "Fresh Wares" which can be seen here: http://www.groovemongers.com/ We play several tunes from this CD in camp including "Salvation" Get one...!
MD280202ace The Celebrated Opera Reel. This tune was played Saturday night and is the best recording I think I have of this one. The digs were directly behind the mic and Dean on the bongos were at my left... both of which were muting the mic pretty bad. However, I was able to bring most all the instruments back up with Cool Edit.
MD051402ce The Yellow Barber & Buck Mountain... You can find the Yellow Barber at J Cs Tune Finder. Buck Mountain is in the Portland Collection.
MD110302ce The Boogie Reel, Dave played the Boogie Reel for the first time at the Carp Camp last year (2001) I hope it becomes a standard carp tune.
MD110602ce A Dave original... Dave will need to give us a name for this one...
MD170902 The Maryellen Carter, Todd Hallawell is joined here by Dan Kessinger on fiddle. This is one of the more interesting version of this song.
MD270202cex Cajun Cookin by Muddy Creek, a family band from Pueblo, CO., had heard about the Carp Camp from someone in there area. Due to and extra good year with gigs they decided track east to find this place called Carp Camp, to see for themselves what it is all about. We're glad they did and hope to see all of them back next year. This is a tune they played for us which I hope becomes a carp camp standard tune.
MD050702ce Leola_Kay by Todd Hallawell and Jim Spence. Should Todd make another CD this one should go on it again as a revisited version. His good friend Jim Spence wrote the harmony part which adds a whole new dimension to an already marvelous tune.
MD160802 Squirrel Heads and Gravy This is such a cool tune. It has been a standard carp tune for as long as I can remember.
MD170102ce Kessinger's_Adel's_Reel Dan & Robin Kissinger started coming to the Carp Camp in 2001. Such incredible talents we hope to see them for many years to come.
MD110102ce Contrazz_&_Asher These two tunes by Rodney Miller are found in the Portland Collection and really work nice together. This version is really stunning. Jim & Janet Fyhrie are on their dulcimers and Dave Firestine on his mandolin.
MD051802 The_Bleaumont_Waltz Paul and Cindy play this one for us. It came from one of their waltz books they play from back in Minnesota, the home of the outcast fish (carp).
MD220302 Hoo Doo Hoedown and the Unreel Reel.... Zombies at the ready?
MD060202ce Catharsis_&_Salvation These two tunes really work nice together. Catharus was brought to us last year by his carpness Dave and is in the Portland Collection.
MD241302MD250102 Drums Warning this is a 25 minute Harmonium with lots of drum work and other D tunes woven in. It's Great...!
MD231202ce The_Big_Sciota
MD240802ce Salvation This has clawhammer banjo, fiddle, and mandolin. Very Good
MD240102ce Rubin_&_Sandy Charlie Hall has a dandy tune here. I wonder if he'll publish it someday? Also, I wonder what the dogs look like? How bout sending some pictures Charlie...?
MD061102ce Robertson's_Old_Blair_Mill_Cajun_Billy "Robertson's Reel" was introduced to us by Scott Schmid of Enid, Okla. Scott has been visiting the camp for many years. At sixteen, Scott is this years Mandolin Champion. "The Old Blare Mill" I believe Dave may have brought to us a couple of years back and "Cajun Billy" was first heard in the Carp Camp in 1995 brought to us by Hope Grietzer of Pike's Pick.
